• Confirm the tank is cycled and water tests are stable.
• Make sure the adult tank has real capacity for more fish.
• Provide plants, hardscape, and cover without removing all swimming space.
• Have a separation plan before the move.

The first day is not the only check. Watch the group during normal feeding, lighting changes, and quiet periods. If new juveniles cannot access food or are persistently chased, separate them rather than waiting for the group to settle by itself.
