A LITTLE PREPARATION GOES A LONG WAY

The details behind your next guppies.

About this listing

Full Gold 24k VIP Breeder Trio is a full gold guppy — metallic gold over the head, body and fins, the look hobbyists call “24k”. VIP is the listing’s grade label for this group. A good full gold shows even colour from the snout to the tail without patchy silver areas.

Full Gold 24k VIP Breeder Trio at a glance

  • Pattern: gold-toned body
  • Tank: 40 L+ for a pair or trio
  • Fins: regular fancy tail
  • Diet: varied flake and pellet with live or frozen foods
  • Water: 22 to 28°C, pH 7.0 to 8.0 with stable hardness
  • Format: breeder trio

Will Full Gold 24k VIP Breeder Trio breed true?

A trio spreads the male’s attention over two females, which keeps them less stressed and gives more fry early on. Keep the line pure and select the best fish each generation to hold colour and fin shape.

Tank and water for Full Gold 24k VIP Breeder Trio

Cycle the aquarium before the fish arrive and keep up a weekly water change; guppies forgive a lot, but not ammonia. Guppies are hardy, but they do best in a cycled tank with steady temperature and weekly partial water changes. New to the species? Start with the guppy care basics.

Choosing Full Gold 24k VIP Breeder Trio

For keepers who want a premium full gold line and a trio to start breeding straight away. The guide to guppy tail types explains the pattern and its relatives in more detail.

Arrival and first days

Equalise temperature with the bag still sealed, then mix in aquarium water a little at a time before moving the fish with a net. Hold new arrivals apart for roughly 14 days and check daily for clamped fins, flashing or poor appetite. Give them a dark, quiet first night and feed lightly from the second day. Photograph any losses straight away, since live-arrival claims need clear evidence.

Before you order

Price, stock and photos on the listing are current; read them, and the fish format, before you order. Note that the image is representative and AI-generated rather than a photo of the actual fish; appearance varies, so confirm composition, strain naming and availability with HiGuppy. As live animals, guppies are covered by our shipping policy and live arrival (DOA) policy; read both before ordering.
