RREA Lazuli Neon Tuxedo is a real-red-eye albino with neon-blue lazuli colour on the body and a tuxedo-shaded rear half. Without black pigment, the tuxedo saddle reads as a tinted or smoky area rather than solid black, and the neon blue sits brightly over it. Unlike its ribbon sister line, this version has normal pelvic fins.

RREA Lazuli Neon Tuxedo at a glance

  • Pattern / colour: tuxedo (half-black) rear body
  • Tail and fins: normal fins
  • Minimum tank: 40 L+ for a pair or trio
  • Parameters: 22–28 °C, pH 7.0 to 8.0
  • Eyes: pink to red (no dark eye pigment)
  • Food: micro pellets and flake, with bloodworm, daphnia or brine shrimp
  • Unit: 1 pair + bonus male

Breeding and line-keeping

RREA lines breed true only when both parents are RREA; mixing with other strains loses the trait in the first generation. The tuxedo saddle is passed on readily, but how far it extends varies, so select parents with a crisp boundary. A pair is the simplest start: the female can give a brood roughly every four weeks once settled.

Choosing RREA Lazuli Neon Tuxedo

For keepers who want a Japanese RREA tuxedo line from a starter pair plus an extra male. For background on the type, read the albino guppy guide.

Arrival and first days

Acclimate slowly: temperature first, then small additions of tank water over half an hour or more, discarding the shipping water at the end. Give them a dark, quiet first night and feed lightly from the second day. Hold new arrivals apart for roughly 14 days and check daily for clamped fins, flashing or poor appetite.

Keeping RREA Lazuli Neon Tuxedo

RREA fish, like other albinos, prefer moderate light and benefit from feeding spots where faster fish cannot crowd them out. Feed small amounts twice a day rather than one large meal, and remove anything uneaten after a couple of minutes. New to the species? Start with the guppy care basics. Guppies are hardy, but they do best in a cycled tank with steady temperature and weekly partial water changes.

Price reference and ordering

Currency and unit are kept exactly as observed, with no conversion to another fish format. The listing was visible on the source page at capture; HiGuppy checks its own stock separately. Treat it as a planning reference for the strain family only: it is not HiGuppy inventory, not an endorsement, not proof of the exact phenotype and not a fixed quotation. The picture is a representative illustration — phenotype, grade, stock and seller are confirmed before any order. Before ordering, ask for current photos or video and confirm sex, size, grade, quantity, destination route and the final HiGuppy quotation. Freight, airport handling, customs, clearance and destination charges are separate unless a written quote says otherwise. To start, send an inquiry with destination, quantity and preferred shipping window.
